SPAQuE, Remediation of the "Purfina"
The site consisted of a former oil depot used to store hydrocarbons. The work involved the remediation of the site by the dismantling of the existing infrastructures, the selective demolishing of a building, the excavation, evacuation and controlled elimination of the polluted soils, the pumping and treatment of underground water, the cleaning of the site and finally landscaping.
Our solution
- Nine metallic cisterns (capacity of up to 750m³) were dismantled.
- The site was backfilled with 15,000m³ of filler materials.
- 23,000 tonnes of contaminated soil was excavated and removed to treatment centres by river.
- The works phase ended with the backfilling of the site.
