Within our Fleet Organisation, which ensures all maintenance and technical management of our fleet of dredging and offshore vessels, you work in the team that is responsible for managing all vessel certificates. These are all certificates required according to the International Maritime Organisation’s standards (such as classification , Flag State, …).
You provide support to our Technical Superintendents and Vessel Managers for all certificate related matters, answer their questions, assist them in applying for and obtaining the necessary documents and assist in the implementation of new regulations, … . Outside DEME, your main contacts are government agencies and classification societies.

As an Equipment Engineer, you assist internal departments at DEME Offshore with engineering support for project execution, new equipment development and improvements on existing equipment. You will collaborate with other engineers as well as tender, project and operational teams to prepare functional equipment designs and vessel deck layouts of equipment. Moreover, you will manage the interface between engineering, subcontractors and people on board of our vessels;
This position is based at our DEME Offshore Office in Breda, The Netherlands, and you can make use of our other DEME offices.
Being part of the design and engineering department, the geotechnical engineer assists the tender and project teams to recognize and mitigate geotechnical related constraints, from tender until execution stage.
This requires full understanding of employer’s requirements and project execution constraints. Most projects require evaluation of the soil information, leg penetration analysis, drivability analysis and related boundary conditions. In case of design and build contracts, the review of the design basis will be required.

DEME Offshore Geotechnical engineers will assist the tender and project team mainly from the DEME head office in Zwijndrecht. Sporadic travel abroad might be required for meetings with designers or clients or for assistance on board of the vessels.
Within the geotechnical department we strive to provide the best service to the tender department in limited time; we optimize by automating (Python) and do advanced FE studies if of added value.
As GIS Engineer, you will be part of the multipurpose GIS department with specialization in the geophysical, geotechnical and environmental fields in which G-Tec is active. Your role will mainly be performed from the G-Tec office in Milmort and at our client’s premises. Working from home is also a possibility.
As a Mission Equipment Expert, you will be responsible for dedicated technical follow-up of certain types of Mission Equipment such as drill rigs, Monopile grippers, Cable Installation System, trencher, Modiga and deck cranes (among others). You will work for our mobilization projects for our Offshore Activity Line fleet at the Deme Offshore Base in Vlissingen.
Within this role, you will work on mobilization, commissioning, maintenance and repair of technical assets, analyses and improve equipment’s performance, in line with internal business demands and QSHE-S guidelines, in order to contribute to a high-quality, reliable and safe equipment against optimal costs and to optimally enable Operations to execute client projects. The docking controller joins our docking teams to financially control the repair budget start-to-end. He/she also coordinates all administrative necessities (logistic, housing, practical) during the complete repair of our vessels.
As Technical Superintendent Offshore, you work as part of one of our vessel teams, where you will be responsible for the coordination of maintenance and repairing activities of vessel(s) assigned and/or its equipment or other assets. Your main base will be at our HQ in Belgium or in our office in Breda, the Netherlands.
