This includes assigning jobs to workers and monitoring their progress, coordinating loading and unloading activities, tracking inventory, and ensuring tasks are completed on time. The Yard Manager may also conduct maintenance on machinery and equipment and proper documentation of maintenance, as well as updating projects about their shipments. Overall, the Yard Manager is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the yard.
