As a Methods & Mission Equipment Engineer at DEME Offshore, you are involved with the engineering of new transport and installation methods and the development of corresponding mission equipment. You with will provide engineering support during project execution and follow-up on performance and any modifications or improvements to existing equipment.
The Methods Engineering & Equipment and Technology Development group develops transport and installation methods for the different DEME Offshore activities safeguarding technical feasibility, operational efficiency and workability. Additionally, the team develops the required equipment for the projects focused on safe and efficient operations, ensuring high workability and accelerating the pace of innovation. These Developments are coordinated in close cooperation with the commercial and operational departments to ensure solutions are fit for purpose.
This position is based at our Headquarters in Zwijndrecht, Belgium, and can make use of our network of regional offices and satellite offices and working from home regimes.
As a Mobilization Team Leader, you will be responsible to coordinate mobilization projects for our Offshore Activity Line fleet at the Deme Offshore Base in Vlissingen. You will coordinate the projects taking care schedule, budget and QHSE aspects, among others.
Within this role, you will work on mobilization, commission, maintenance and repair of technical assets, analyses and improve equipment’s performance, in line with internal business demands and QSHE-S guidelines, in order to contribute to a high-quality, reliable and safe equipment against optimal costs and to optimally enable Operations to execute client projects. As Project engineer you will be involved in marine infrastructure/civil projects (i.e. port & harbor constructions, immersed tunnels, tunneling and foundation works) that complement and reinforce DEME’s activities. New projects such as the Fehmarnbelt link between Denmark and Germany, the new lock of Terneuzen and many other projects, require a multidisciplinary and innovative approach.
