As a General Ledger Accountant you are in touch with various stakeholders to achieve our common goal of completing our projects on time and in a safe way. You will work in an international department of around 10 employees and will be coached and guided by an experienced manager. Together we work on DEME’s vision to create a sustainable future for us all.
As General Ledger Accountant, you will be responsible for the timely, accurate and complete General Ledger Accounts. you will report to the Group Finance Director Shared Service Center, who will coach and guide you.
The finance controller will join the project team on site to financially control project budget start-to-end. He/she will also coordinate all administrative necessities. This includes providing information about logistic, housing and practical questions/cases during the complete project.
To keep our fleet of vessels operational, maintenance and repairs are scheduled from time to time in shipyards worldwide. The senior finance controller faces the challenge of coordinating these vessel docking projects and the finance controllers that join the docking team on site. The ideal controller pursues a financial role with coordinating responsibilities in a technical environment.

To centralize all payments from the DEME entities, we set up a payment factory within the Treasury Department. The purpose is to create a flow tool to improve control over and efficiency of payments, centralizing payments in a single process, which executes payments for our operating entities.
