As a marine coordinator you will be part of the marine operations team within the QHSE department of DEME. As a Lead Engineer you will play a key role in the preparation and execution of our offshore projects. As a Geotechnical Engineer, you will focus on a wide variety of challenges supporting our cable installation business unit on offshore windfarms. Your challenges will extend from multi-disciplinary cable route engineering to cable burial studies and managing complex soil datasets. You will be responsible for sound and expert output to support our project and tender teams or work on one of our many R&D projects.
The engineering department in Breda consists of approximately 30 employees. You will work in an international team of 8 Hydraulic and Geotechnical engineers. As a geotechnical engineer you will support our commercial and project teams by providing, amongst other things, expert advice on cable protection strategies and cable route design. As the Product Owner for Vena within the Finance ICT team, you will play a pivotal role in the technical management and support of our Vena software, a key tool for automating high-quality data collection. This position is integral to ensuring our finance department operates efficiently amidst new legislative requirements, particularly the Pillar Two legislation. You will collaborate closely with BISS and the software supplier to oversee the implementation and continuous improvement of Vena, supporting a growing user base expected to reach approximately 150 by 2025.
A production engineer working in the EDT department (Engineering, Design & Technology) provides support in both tender and execution stage of a dredging & land reclamation project.
It involves close cooperation between various departments, project teams and experienced crew on board of our fleet. Through a methodical, systematic and structured approach based on both theoretical and practical insights, we create as a team expert advice, profound analyses and smart solutions to bring operational excellence in DEME to a higher level. You will work as a part of the EDT team in our HQ in Zwijndrecht, near Antwerp (Belgium). Close follow-up, coaching and guidance will be provided of course by Senior colleagues in our team.
Next to production engineering, the EDT team in activity line Dredging provides support as well in Geology, Geotechnics, Coastal Engineering, Environmental engineering and Wear &Tear expertise. This makes the EDT team highly divers in expertise and as such complementary to cover many expert aspects in supporting our projects.
Our Environmental Engineering Team is operating from the HQ in Zwijndrecht as a central working place. However, working in direct support for different tenders and projects worldwide, dedicated international long-term site assignments (both on ALO and ALD works) form a significant part of your assignment - to explore and deploy environmental engineering solutions throughout DEME’s business line.
